REVIEW: ‘Death by Shakespeare’ by Hurly Burly

If there’s one thing I always particular enjoy at the Fringe, it’s really well executed physical theatre. This company have the physical and aural aspects of their performance pinned down impressively. Opening with an harrowing soundscape of dissonant voices melding together, it immediately immerses the audience, creating an atmosphere of both discomfort and fascination.

REVIEW: ‘Shit-Faced Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet’ by Magnificent Bastard Productions.

4.5 Stars

I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in a long time. This performance was nothing short of an utter riot, and a real testament to the beautiful hilarity and chaos the Shitfaced formula can achieve.

REVIEW: ‘Shit-Faced Showtime: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ by Magnificent Bastard Productions.

Ever since I first came to the Edinburgh Fringe back in 2015, I’ve always wanted to see a Shitfaced Show of some description. Somehow, I’ve never managed to get around to it until this year when I saw both Shitfaced Showtime and Shitfaced Shakespeare over the course of two nights.
