I did nothing this day. Literally nothing. I did not leave the house. I spent the whole of it in recovery mode following the final performance the day before.
People started to leave. Tamsin had awayed with her parents the night before, Sade was gone before I woke, Jenna departed just as I did, and Talia vanished from our lives just as morning turned to afternoon.
And then there 6.
Quite genuinely nothing else happened that day. All most of us did was rest.
To be honest, I think we’d earned it.
