There we have it. My third Fringe has finally crawled to an end. It’s been a long one this year but also the best Fringe I’ve yet done. Being here for basically the whole month has been incredible and allowed me to experience so much more of the festival and the city than I ever have before.

And so the last full day of my 2017 Fringe Adventure dawned. Came quite suddenly really, although the last week has been the longest. The time when we were performing just zipped right by.

Another day of deviation from the Fringe norm. No shows today, instead I chose to keep a promise I’d made to myself since I knew I was coming back to Edinburgh this year and climbed Arthur’s Seat.

Another good day, show-wise.
Our darling Jake left us in the early afternoon, a very tired writer and director who, in my view at least, should be very proud of what he achieved this year.
And then there were 2.

Today I saw a show I’d been looking forward to for months. Antonym Theatre were responsible was Staircases, one of my favourite shows of 2015 Fringe. I’d has to miss the show last year as I left before they came up, but this year I my time in the city once again coincided with their run. I was ecstatic and, it turns out, right to be so. Another day, another set of departures.
Dawid (or Dawe, depending on what mood we’re in) left to catch a 9 o’clock coach, making all our lives a little duller. Toby and Emily, really a delightful couple whom glad I had the chance to get to know, left not long thereafter by car.

I did nothing this day. Literally nothing. I did not leave the house. I spent the whole of it in recovery mode following the final performance the day before.

The day came at last. The day of our final performance. Really, it’s flown by. Some other people were of the opinion that a 15-night run was a bit too long for us but I don’t think so. I think it’s the perfect length. I’m really quite sad this show is over now.

And now for something, completely different.
We’d always meant to do this last year, but somehow never got around to it. This time however, we took action. We booked it in advance and looked ourselves in. Today, we (by we I mean Myself, Frazer, Jenna, and Talia) went to Zoo. And it was amazing!

Another standard Fringe Day I suppose.
I went into town, flyered, sat in the cafe, and eventually maneuvered myself over to the Meadows in order to see Courtney Act with Dawid and Frazer, which we were all very excited about. The excitement was justified; the girl from Oz delivered.
